[Beens Prayer Partners] update
Dear friends and teammates,
Thanks for your prayers and congratulations over Esperansa's birth. We are overall doing very well and making adjustments and such as a family. Karunia has been a HUGE help and the boys are doing well and enjoying their new sister as well.
We'd like to ask your prayers on a couple points. 1st of all, we are currently planning on returning to Nampula this week. Lord willing, Dan will leave on Wednesday morning to begin the drive back up and the kids and I will then leave on Friday to fly up. Please pray for safety for Dan as he drives, for no more car issues, and that we'd definitely secure someone to go with him. Pray also for the kids and I as we wait around here for 2 days past his departure and then for safety as we travel; pray that flight attendants or other passengers would be willing to help me as I travel with the 4 kids by myself and for special obedience on the kid's part to be where I tell them and wait as I tell them, etc!
The other thing we'd like for you to pray about is Esperansa. She currently is jaundiced and while we realize this is quite normal at this stage in the game it's also something that we really need to clear up immediately as theoretically if she were still jaundiced as of Thursday (2 wks) it could mean there were problems and we'd need to get her tested and/or treated (which can't be done in Nampula). She also has a couple patches of skin that seem to have an odd pigmentation, or rather lack thereof, to them. A pediatrician at church today said she'd try to research it, as it was something she'd never seen before. Nothing to be worried about in and of itself, as long as it isn't a link to something else. Anyway if you could pray about these things, particularly the jaundice, we'd appreciate it.
