[Beens Prayer Partners] may prayer letter
The time has come! Well almost! For those of you who receive these updates by e-mail, Dan and Josiah will be leaving in just under a week. For those of you who receive this via regular mail, they are probably leaving within a day or perhaps have already left. We are so excited about all that awaits us in Mozambique. We are excited to meet up with teammates there, to begin adjusting to life (and heat) once again, and to start the ministry that God has laid out for us. Thanks for your prayers and your partnership!!
Give thanks to God with us for who He is, for his blessings to us, and for his wonderful works!
That our language has progressed enough that we can leave Portugal for Mozambique!!!!
Housing has been secured in Mozambique! Remember the potential house we told you about in the last prayer update? Well after it passed the inspection of 3 teammates, we now have a 2 month contract on that house. Assuming that Dan is equally pleased with the house when he arrives as they were then we'll extend the contract to be a more permanent one – but if he doesn't like it for some reason we'll have the option of finding something different.
Rejoice with us in Josiah – on the 17th of this month he will turn 4 years old. Wow – time flies!
Dan finished up a 2 month Sunday school class on church leadership at the church in Lisbon. Things went really well and he was pleased with the various discussions that occurred among the people there.
Please join us in praying for:
· Organization on our part as we continue closing things out here; technically we're almost done. Our excess baggage will be picked up and placed on a boat Monday, May 2nd. Dan will then take 2 bags with him leaving 3 bags for Robin. There will still of course be little things to do; pray that all necessary tasks will get done without running crazy.
· That Robin would find buyers for our car and the little bit of furniture and such that we have here yet need to sell.
· Safety in travel and that the kids will travel well. Again Dan and Josiah leave on May 5th to arrive in Maputo, Mozambique on the 6th. They'll then head up to Nampula on or around the 10th. Robin, Asher, and Karunia will leave Portugal on the 20th to arrive on the 21st and head up to Nampula shortly after that.
· Simply for our family as we're separated from each other for 2 weeks.
· For a healthy pregnancy for Robin and for healthy development of the baby in her womb.
· Peace for each of the children, but Karunia in particular, as we prepare to transition again. Please start praying even now that she will have good sleep in the weeks before and just after we move and that she wouldn’t have the night issues we’ve dealt with so many times before.
· That even now God would prepare things for us in Mozambique:
· A vehicle and national helpers.
· Men and churches with whom Dan can partner; men and churches that have a hunger to learn more of God and His word!
· Adjustment as individuals and a family to life there.
· That God would provide a couple close national friends for both Dan and I and that he would provide friends for the kids!
As for Kim Adams, she's currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments each day for the next several weeks. Continue to pray for her and her family during this time and for healing.
As for Robin’s twin nephews, they are both growing and overall doing well. They are still in the neonatal unit. The key right now is to get them completely off the oxygen and for them to become more consistent in their nursing (without needing to be fed through a tube). Thanks for your prayers for them.
We appreciate each of you! Just think, our next letter will be from Mozambique!!!!!!
Blessings,
Robin and Dan
